Centennial’s Coyote Education Efforts Could Be Working

Centennial’s coyote management plan and public education may be paying off and organizers hope citizens will continue to be proactive. This time of the year, coyote pups are out of the den and coyote parents are training and teaching them things such as how to hunt and how to find places to bed down for the night.

“It’s important for us to make sure we’re not providing things that attract them into our yards,” Management Analyst Karen Stickland said. “If we have a new generation of coyotes that are learning, we want them to learn the right things.”
