Wolf Bills are Dead

by Ken Cole

The bills that would have removed wolves from the Endangered Species Act have all been unsuccessful.

From bills that would have removed all protections for wolves across the country, to a bill that would have removed protections for wolves in Idaho and Montana but not elsewhere, none received enough support to make it to a vote of any kind. In the latest effort Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland blocked its progress to the Senate floor. There won’t be another chance until the next congress adjourns.
